Description
THE TERRITORY – THE FARM
The production of Sigri coffee in the mountainous region of the island was started in 1950. The altitude of the Waghi Valley, where the plantation of this coffee is located, is approximately 1600 meters above sea level and the extension of this land and similar ones , such as Bonum Wo, which have earned a reputation for producing the finest quality coffee in the country, is 1,123 hectares. In addition, 413 hectares of “project coffee” owned by local landowners and farmers are now fully managed in Sigri.
THE PROCESSING
The Sigri plantation enjoys a cold climate thanks to the altitude of approximately 1600 meters and an abundant rainy season which create an ideal climate for the growth of Typica and Arusha, two varieties of Arabica coffee.
THE EXPERIENCE IN THE CUP
It leaves no doubts on the palate, a persistent aftertaste. Floral and sweet aroma.
