The most important regions are Chiapas and the Veracruz area, where coffee with a sweet, fragrant and deep taste comes from.
The plantations grow on the mountain ranges of the region and are called “heights” because they grow at high altitudes, helped by a warm, tropical and humid climate.
Mexico produces mostly top-quality Arabica coffee, while the robust quality occupies a small part of the total production, bringing it to fourth place worldwide.
