Bancha Tea comes from the Camelia Japonica variety.
It is obtained from the same plant as Sencha tea but the leaves that are used are different, large leaves crushed and intense color.
This typical Japanese tea is characterized by its fresh, pleasantly bitterish aroma, with hints of seaweed.
Since the bancha has a very low caffeine content it is particularly suitable for children and is mild to the stomach.
